Booksnack Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Your account: if you sign in with Apple, your email address (or the private relay address Apple gives us if you choose Hide My Email) and an account ID. What you do in Booksnack: the topics you pick, the cards you keep, write and grade, your review schedule, your settings, and which cards you see, keep or skip. This is stored on your iPhone and, when you are signed in, on our servers so it syncs to your other devices and so your feed and reviews can be ranked for you. Your subscription: Apple processes payment. We receive your subscription status (plan, trial, renewal and expiry dates) through RevenueCat, linked to your account ID. We never see your card or bank details.

2. What stays on your iPhone

When you answer a recall in your own words with Say it back, your answer is checked by Apple's on-device model. It is never sent to us, to Apple's servers or to any other service, and it is not saved. Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Stories read aloud use your iPhone's own voices.

3. What we do not do

No advertising. No selling or renting your information. No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites. No third-party analytics or advertising tools in the app.

4. Who helps us run Booksnack

Supabase hosts our database and sign-in, on servers in the United States. RevenueCat keeps track of subscription status. Apple provides payments and Sign in with Apple. Each processes information only to provide its service to us.

5. Keeping and deleting

We keep your information while you have an account. In Booksnack, Settings, Delete account removes your account and everything linked to it from our servers straight away. Without an account, Delete everything on this phone erases the app's data. Apple and RevenueCat keep purchase records they are required to keep for accounting; cancel your subscription in Apple's settings too if you no longer want it. You can export everything you keep and write from Settings at any time. To ask for a copy of what Synap1e holds, a correction, or deletion by email, write to privacy@synap1e.com and we will answer within 30 days.

6. Children

Booksnack is not directed at children under 13, and Synap1e does not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, write to privacy@synap1e.com and we will delete it.

7. Changes and contact
