Family Fridge Privacy Policy

1. Local app data

Fridge records, Shop choices, Pulse history, unfinished Quick Add drafts, and preferences stay in app-owned containers on this iPhone. FamilyFridge does not provide cloud sync. iOS may include app data in an iCloud Backup or computer backup according to the user’s Apple settings. The Family Fridge app group contains the item-level cache needed by the local-only widget, and a separate widget access record stores an active-or-locked access mode and may be refreshed from the App Store.

2. Camera and receipt scanning

Receipt scanning is a Family Fridge Pro feature, and camera access is used only when the user chooses it. Document capture and text recognition happen on this iPhone. Raw receipt images and the full OCR transcript are not saved. Normalized grocery item suggestions can remain in an unfinished local Quick Add draft until the user adds or discards them, uses Clear Fridge Data, or removes the app. Manual entry remains available when camera access or document scanning is unavailable.

3. Collection and subscription access

Family Fridge does not send fridge data to Synap1e-operated servers and does not sell or rent grocery data. It contains no advertising or analytics SDK and does not track users across apps or websites. Family Fridge Pro is an auto-renewable App Store subscription that unlocks local editing, receipt scanning on supported iPhones, and the local-only widget. Across each grocery cycle, Pro supports recurring local edits, on-device scanning for new receipts, and a local widget that continues updating with the fridge. Saved fridge data remains available to browse if Pro becomes inactive.

4. Retention and deletion

Fridge records remain until the user changes or deletes them, uses Clear Fridge Data, or removes the app. Clear Fridge Data removes fridge items, Shop choices, Pulse history, unfinished Quick Add drafts, recovery backups, and inventory-derived widget content from this iPhone while keeping preferences such as the fridge name and haptics setting. It does not cancel Family Fridge Pro, erase the separate widget access record, or cancel an App Store subscription. Apple-managed backups are controlled separately in Apple settings.
