Cozy Nook Privacy Policy

1. Local paintings and preferences

Paintings, editing history, saved palettes, bookmarks and preferences are stored in the app's local storage. Cozy Nook does not operate a custom server that receives your painting activity. The app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

2. Selected files and Photos

When you deliberately choose a file, the app accesses that selected content to import or restore it. Import experiments retain original source bytes locally alongside prepared artwork. Saving an image to Photos asks for permission to add a copy; it does not require reading your photo library. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts or location access for painting.

3. Optional iCloud synchronization

When you enable supported iCloud sync, editable painting data and revision information are sent to the app's private CloudKit database in your Apple account. Apple operates this service under its privacy terms and iCloud storage rules. Synap1e does not receive these private paintings through a custom backend. Local-save status and cloud-sync acknowledgment are separate, and a failed upload does not mean a local save failed.

4. Purchases

If purchases are available, Apple processes App Store payments. The app uses product and verified transaction information to determine access. Synap1e does not receive your payment-card details from these purchases. Subscription periods, prices and trial eligibility are shown before confirmation; no particular offer is promised by this policy.

5. Exports and sharing

Images and editable backups leave the app when you choose to export or share them. The destination you select, such as Photos, Files or another app, has its own storage and privacy practices. An exported image is separate from its editable painting; an editable backup may contain painting content, history and prepared artwork dependencies.

6. Reminders and sound

Daily reminders are optional local notifications. Authorization is requested only after you choose to enable them, and their time is stored locally. Notification delivery is managed by iOS. Painting sounds, when available, use playback and do not require recording from your microphone.

7. Artwork production and AI

Synap1e may use creative production tools to prepare artwork and sound assets before release. The app does not send your paintings or selected files to generative AI services for processing. Production content preparation is separate from your use of the app.

8. Retention and deletion

Moving a painting to Recently Deleted preserves a recoverable copy; it does not permanently erase all revisions. Local app data, device backups, private iCloud records and copies exported to other destinations are separate. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete copies in iCloud, Photos, Files or other apps. Use the relevant Apple or destination storage controls for those copies. Keep a project backup before removing local app data. Support can explain available controls, but cannot access your private iCloud paintings on your behalf.

9. Support and website visits

If you email support or use the website's support form, Synap1e receives the details and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and resolve the request, retaining them as needed for support and applicable obligations. Website hosting, analytics and performance tooling are separate from the app; the Synap1e website privacy policy also applies to website visits.

10. Audience and privacy requests

Cozy Nook is designed as an adult coloring studio and is not a child-directed service. For questions about data, access, correction or deletion of information you have sent to Synap1e, contact privacy@synap1e.com. Avoid sending unnecessary personal information or artwork you do not have permission to share.
